I know that a lot of people use the time around Thanksgiving to reflect on the year and what they’re thankful for but for me, that time comes around the official end of the year. 2023 certainly had its ups and downs but I have a lot to be thankful for. Giving back is something that I am very passionate about, and I can happily say that I had some great opportunities this year where I was able to do just that. With that in mind I want to thank Baird. There are so many things about this company that make it great, but one thing that really sticks out to me is the fact that they not only support their associates efforts to give back, they encourage them.
Here’s a few pictures and brief description from some of those opportunities this year:
Habitat for Humanity build day - We helped build a multi-family housing unit that will be used as a shelter for families that can’t afford to house themselves.
The Woodlands Fall Fest setup - We set up a haunted trail for a part of The Woodlands organization’s Fall Fest where kids can walk on that trail, enjoy crafts, food trucks, games, costume contests, specialty vendors, and trick or treating.
Light of Life Thanksgiving Basket Outreach - We packed Thanksgiving meal boxes for families in need and were able to feed over 2000 families! We also made the news -https://lnkd.in/gh3WqZ8E
Western Pennsylvania’s Police Athletic League’s ‘Stuff A Store’ - Collecting and wrapping gifts for underprivileged kids in the community.
